Leaving Treadmarkz Across the Universe

Greetings,

My wife has always told me that I should write a book about my experiences. I know that I have something to say about life. I’m a contemplative guy. And being in a wheelchair is only a part of what makes my life a good read. I just didn’t know if I was prepared to write a book about it, so blogging seems like a logical format for me to offer my thoughts. Since I don’t know where this project will take me, I will say this: I may say things you would not expect a guy in a wheelchair to say, but as a former journalist, I will always tell the truth. How’s that for a format?
This weblog will be a way for me to show you how I view many aspects of life (which has been influenced by my disability, there is no point in denying that). But for anyone reading who is not “disabled”, I hope what you will get from this is that there is much more to me and people like me than just “WHEELCHAIR.” It’s just that my disability is the most constant, unavoidable fact of my life. Paraplegics cannot avoid their disabilities, but we can transcend “disability” and live, love and learn. I am here to share what I have learned.

I invite anyone reading my thoughts to pose questions and share their opinions and points of view on these, or any related subjects.
