I have recently discovered that one of the best things a guy in a wheelchair can do to keep his abs strong is (outdated a reference as this may be) what I like to call the King of the World Yoga. It is a pose which requires you to spread your arms out at your sides, clench those ab muscles and lean forward in your chair as much as possible and hold as long as you can without falling on your face. I have not been able to do it for too long at one time thus far but it has been very helpful in my quest to maintain the tool that is my body, through Hatha Yoga.
